Ming Zhong

• Mingzhong, whose first name was Yanzhong, had the courtesy name Daheng, nickname Xiaoya, and No. 1 Xingxu. He was a native of Tongxiang, Zhejiang, and his common surname was Shi. Young Xie was born in Shurangyan Temple in Jiaxing, and in his later years he studied at Shengyin Temple and Jingci Temple in Hangzhou. During Qianlong's southern tour, he was given purple clothes three times. He was good at painting, and he conveyed his meaning in seal cutting. He painted landscapes with the meticulousness of Huang Gongwang and the beauty of Ni Zan.
