CHAN KIN-CHUNG

• CHAN KIN-CHUNG, born in 1939 in Longchuan country, Guangdong Province, China. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Paris in then lived in Franc. In 1975, he became the first Asian painter to hold a solo exhibition in Paris, courtesy of the French Ministry of Culture. In 2000, he set up a studio in Shenzhen, China, and continued to travel back and forth every year to produce his work. In 2014, he organized a 50-year retrospective exhibition in China, which toured the National Art Museum of China, Shenzhen Art Museum and Shanghai Art Museum for two years. He is one of the representatives of the third generation of overseas Chinese who have contributed to cultural exchange between the East and West.
