• CHARLES LESLIE, painter, born in London. He painted dramas and literary themes. Moved with his family to Philadelphia, U.S.A,. at age 5. In 1811 he moved to London to study at the Royal Academy of Arts School of Fine Arts. From 1817 he trained in Paris, Brussels, and Antwerp.
