MUKAI SHUJI

• MUKAI SHUJI, artist, born in Kobe, Japan. In 1959, he met MOTONAGA SADAMSA at the Nishinomiya City Art Association and exhibited his work at the 8th Gutai Art Exhibition in the same year. In 1969, he became a member of the Gutai Art Association. He established an installation style based on the concept of invalidating all value systems through the accumulation of meaningless symbols.
