Zhu Qi, formely known as Zongti, also known as Xuan, styled Qishi, nicknamed Guikan, was not assigned to Xiushui old farmer, Ge Chuang layman, owner of Yanlai Red Pavilion, Baobing layman, and Kuocangshan people. Jiaxing people inherited his father Zhu Bingyi's learning of calligraphy, painting and seal cutting in his early years. Later, he learned seal cutting from Wu Changshuo, leaned its essence, got rid of the restraint of sects, and finally became famous in the art garden for his life-long accomplishments.
