Wang Xu

Wang Yao (Wang垿), courtesy names were Juesheng and Juesheng, with pseudonyms including Xingcun, Xingfang, and Changyang Jisou. He was born in Laiyang, Shandong Province. During the Guangxu era, he passed the imperial examination and became a Jinshi (a successful candidate in the highest imperial examination). He later served as a Hanlin scholar and the Assistant Minister of Rites (Li Bu Shilang).
