HOTTA SEIJI

• HOTTA SEIJI, Western-style painter, born in Fukui prefecture, Japan. He is a master of the Fauvism, one of the most representative Western-style painters in Japan. He has received numerous awards including the Minister of Education Prize at the Nitten. In his early years, he painted people working, but later focused on landscapes and Buddhist statues.
