KUMAOKA YOSHIHIKO

• KUMAOKA YOSHIHIKO, Japanese Western-style painter born in Ibaraki. He entered the Western Painting Department of the Tokyo Academy of Fine Arts in 1909. He won the 1st Imperial Academy Prize in 1926. he studied abroad in France in the same year. After he returned to Japan, he formed the Tokokai with SAITO YORI and others.
