Fang Dishan

• Hōjiyama, original name is Hōniken and the courtesy name is Jizan. Born into a family of scholars in Jiangdu, Jiangsu Province (now Yangzhou City). His father, Fang Peisen, was a member of the Qing Tongzhi era and served as a local teacher for many years. Fangjishan is good at calligraphy and katakana. He was the first famous scholar, calligrapher and Zhulian master of the late Qing dynasty. People call him the "Liansei" of the Republic of China.
