Dao Yuan

• Dogen Zenji, a famous Japanese Zen master in the Kamakura period. The person who popularized the Soto sect in Japan. He is the founder of the Soto sect in Japan. He was the chief priest of Eiheiji Temple and was called Eihei Dogen by the people. His pseudonym is Bushiden Dongkokushi, Chengyang Daishi.
