Guo Xianzhong

• Guo Xianzhong was born in Huayang, Sichuan, China, and lives in Chongqing, Meixian District, Meizhou City, Guangdong. In 1987 he served as president of the Chongqing Calligraphy Artists Association, and in 1989 he was appointed as a visiting professor of the national painter of the Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts. In 1990 he became the deputy secretary-general of the Chongqing National Painting Academy. He is a member of the China Artists Association and a director of the Chongqing Artists Association. In addition to landscape paintings, he also specializes in bird-and-flower paintings and portraits. His early paintings of inland landscapes emphasized brush and ink techniques.
