Huang Xing

  • Huang Xing (黄兴), courtesy names Jiwu and Kqiang, and pseudonyms Qingwu and Jingwu, was born in Changsha, Hunan Province. He was a prominent Chinese revolutionary and a key figure in the modern democratic revolution. He also had other names such as Li Youqing, Zhang Shouzheng, Okamoto Yoshikazu, and Imamura Chōzō. Huang Xing was one of the founding fathers of the Republic of China and an important revolutionary leader. During the Xinhai Revolution, he was known as one half of the "Sun-Huang" duo, alongside Sun Yat-sen (Sun Wen).
