Li Yao Ping, original name Wen Xian, the courtesy name is Xianzhang, the art names are Yaoping, Yaoping, late name Lanshan Shanqiao and Qianxi Yuyin. Born in Xiaolan, Guangdong Province on January 30, 1878. In his early years, he modeled himself on the ink landscape paintings of Nanjing Wu Shixian, a Nanjing maritime school from the late Qing dynasty. After that, he adopted the landscape painting method of the "Four Kings" of Wang Shimin, Wang Jian, Wang Hui (Wang Shige), and Wang Yuanqi from the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties. His portraits and landscape paintings are well-known in the Guangdong painting circles. He is also good at painting flowers, hairs and insects.
