Situ Qi

  • Situ Qi, whose nickname is Xiefen, and whose courtesy name is Qingcheng, was born in Guiyulii, Zhongmu Guiyuri, Kaiping Chikan Town, Guangdong Province, Guiyuri, Zhongmu Village, Kaiping Chikan Town, Guangdong Province. He is the second famous Chinese painter of the Lingnan school of painting. At the age of 22, he entered Chunsui Painting Academy, founded by Gao Junbu, the father of the Lingnan school of painting, and changed his major to Chinese painting. He is the father of the contemporary painter Situ Naizhong, and is known as "one city and three priests,'' along with his cousin Situ Qiao, who is a famous modern oil painter, and his cousin Situ Zhaoguang, who is a famous sculptor.
