Ren Menglong

• Ren Menglong learns painting from his father Ren Shuaiying from an early age. In 1961, he graduated from the Beijing Municipal Arts and Crafts School and continued to teach at the school. He specializes in hand-painted heavy color portraits. He is involved in writing, and also produces nenga, renkanga, and illustrations. He is a director of the Beijing Artists Association, a member of the Beijing Chinese Painting Research Society, a director of the Beijing Gong Brush Heavy Color Painting Society, a director of the Qi Baishi Art Research Society, a chairman and an associate professor of the National Painting Teaching Research Group of the Beijing Municipal Arts and Crafts School.
