Li Ding

Li Ding, whose other name is Ding, whose courtesy name is Meiyin, whose art name is Yixiu, was born in Jiangdu, Taizhou. The last Jinshi of the Qing Dynasty, calligrapher, poet, and the first famous figure in modern Yangzhou. People call him Yangzhou's "first literary man in the late Qing" and "the first calligrapher in modern Yangzhou". His work "Shinjudang Manuscript" still exists today. He is the father of Yangzhou's famous calligrapher Lee Seong-hwa.
