Shao Peizi

• Shao Peizi was born in Hangzhou, Zhejiang. From July 1930 to November 1931 he served as president of the National Zhejiang University. Together with Jiang Menglin, he puts into practice the spirit of Cai Yuanpei's "democratic university management, university management by professors." He also advocated "university management by scholars, openness of public opinion" and achieved results. He is the author of "Tangren Jueju Xuan", edited four volumes of "Mr. Lin Hejing Poems", and translated Francis Bacon's book "Improvement of Knowledge".
