Zhou Shaohua

• Zhou Shaohua was born in Shidao, Rongcheng City, Shandong. In 1941, he joined the 5th Detachment of the Shandong Column of the Eighth Route Army. In 1950, he graduated from the art department of Chungwon University. In 2008, he was awarded the title of "Lifetime Achievement Artist" by the People's Government of Hubei Province. In 2015, he was named the 2014 "Chinese Cultural Figure". He is a member of the Chinese National Academy of Painting.
