Jiang Menggu

• Jiang Menggu, with the courtesy name as Qisheng and the art name as Shi'an was born in Changshu, Jiangsu. He specialized in the four kings landscape painting school, and later met and studied under the famous painter Fan Shaoyun in Shanghai. He imitates many of the works of the ancients, researches traditional Chinese techniques, and achieves excellent results. The Shanshui Xiaoceye, which was drawn in his later years, uses simple and fluent lines to depict foggy, pale landscapes.
