    • Gu Yun

      Gu Yun (顧澐), courtesy name Ruobo (若波), and also known by various pseudonyms such as Yunhu (雲壺), Huyin (壺隱), Huong (壺翁), Yunhu Waishi (雲壺外史), Junchuan (濬川), Shōmo (頌墨), and Binghe (病鶴), with studio names Zizaishi (自在室) and Xiaoyuxian Guan (小遊仙館), was from Wuxian (present-day Suzhou, Jiangsu). He was a commoner (布衣). Gu Yun was a skilled painter of landscapes, renowned for his clear, elegant, and ancient style. His work combined the strengths of the "Four Wangs" (Wang Shimin, Wang Jian, Wang Hui, and Wang Yuanqi), as well as the Wu school and the Yun school of painting.

    • Sha Fu

      Sha Fu, courtesy name Shanchun, with the alias Su'an and Xiangjin Waishi, was born in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. He was a painter during the late Qing Dynasty and was born into a family of artists. He was particularly skilled in figure painting, beautiful women portraits, and flower-and-bird painting.
