  • Liu Xiangping

    Liu Xiangping was born in Beijing. He has been drawing since he was a child, and in 1983 graduated from the Art Department of the Liberation Army Art Academy. He studied under masters such as Zhou Sicong, Lu Shen and Lin Fan. His graduation work, Zunyi, 1935, won the 1st Liberation Army Literary Award, and in 1985 was selected as the design for a Chinese commemorative stamp. This work is a historical painting depicting the Chinese Revolution, and is highly regarded as a masterpiece, and still has an impact on many people.
