Wu Lixian

• Wu Xian, whose other name is Shuben, whose art names are Qiupu Laonong and Dongli Yesou was born in Yangzhou. He is an expert in portrait painting, landscape painting, bird-and-flower painting, and is well versed in poetry and seal engraving. In his middle age he mainly paints chrysanthemum flowers. Therefore, he was called "Wu Juxian" by the people. He is highly regarded by Wang Yiting. He sold his paintings in Shanghai and spent his later years in Shanghai. Along with Miu Guying and Xie Gongzhan, he is known as one of the three chrysanthemums on the sea.
