Bai Chongxi

Bai Chongxi, courtesy name Jian Sheng, was a Muslim with the Islamic name Omar. He was from Lingui, Guilin, Guangxi. He was a First-class General in the Republic of China Army and was known as the "Little Zhuge" (a reference to Zhuge Liang, a renowned strategist from the Three Kingdoms period). Bai was a leading figure in the Kuomintang's Guangxi faction, second only to Li Zongren in terms of political and military influence.
