Takeru Inukai (1896-1960), Minister of Justice of Japan, novelist. The third son of former Prime Minister Inukai Tsuyoshi of Japan. He graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy, Tokyo Imperial University. His father was murdered in the May 15 Incident. Takeru Inukai was able to escape the assassination because he entertained Charlie Chaplin, the comedy king of the world, who was visiting Japan. After Japan surrendered in World War II, he served as Minister of Justice.
