Xie Yucen

• Xie Yucen, the other name is Jinyu, the courtesy name is Zinan, the art names are Yucen and Guluan, was born in Changzhou, Jiangsu. He studied under the famous Jiangnan Confucian scholar Qian Mingshan, who later became his son-in-law. He is the brother of famous calligraphers Xie Zhiliu and Xie Yuimei. He is a prominent literary figure, poet, and art activist in the Republic of China. Together with Zhang Daqian, he is called "Xie Shi Zhang Painting". He is highly regarded in many fields of art, such as calligraphy, painting, and collection.
