He Baoshan

• He Bao-shan, courtesy name Chu-hou, was from Huai'an, Jiangsu. He entered a private school at a young age and was known for his intelligence, diligence, and love of learning. At the age of 17, he entered Nanjing Law and Politics School and later graduated from Fudan University. Due to his family’s marriage connection with the Luo Zhenyu family, Mr. Chu-hou was influenced by this relationship and developed an interest in the calligraphy and paintings of famous artists. He co-founded the Wusong Hall Painting Society with like-minded individuals. Later, he devoted himself to the study of ancient texts and rare books.
