Zhou Lianggong

Zhou Lianggong, with the courtesy name as Yuan Liang, the art name as Jianzhai was the first literati in the late Ming and Qing dynasties, was born in Xiangfu County, Henan (now Kaifeng City). In the 13th year of Chongzhen (1640), he became a jinshi and was assigned to Wei County, Shandong. After entering the Qing dynasty, he served as a member of Jiangnan Yanfa Dao. He was well versed in ancient texts and highly appreciated Weba's theory of poetry.
