Zhang Daxin

Zhang Daxin was born in Chuansha, Shanghai. At the age of 19, he studied New Year's painting under Jin Meisheng. At the age of 23, he studied under Zheng Wuchang and learned Chinese landscape painting. In 1951, he studied under He Tianjian, specializing in the traditional landscape paintings of the Song Yuan Ming and Qing dynasties.
