Zhang Qiyi

• Zhang Qiyi with the courtesy name as Junzhen, the art name as Hong Fei Lou Zhu, was born in Beijing, was a Manchu Han army bannerman, and was domiciled to Minhou County, Fujian Province. He is one of the great bird-and-flower painters of the 20th century. He is also good at painting birds and monkeys. His grandfather, Zhang Decheng, was a Qing ambassador to Europe and the only Chinese to witness the entire course of the French Revolution.
