Wang Ling

Wang Ling (1894-1978), with the courtesy name as Heji, was born in Jining County, Shandong Province. He studied under the Qing dynasty painter Hanlin, and during the Republic of China era, he joined the Wu Peifu Army Corps and became a staff officer. He is good at calligraphy and is good at painting flowers. He is famous for his paintings of plum blossoms, and during the Republic of China era, he was known as "Wang Meihua" in the Tianjin area of Beijing.
