    • Zhou Renlu

      Zhou Renlu (courtesy name Gongxian, sobriquet Renshan) was a native of Gui'an County, Huzhou, Zhejiang Province during the Qing dynasty. He was an accomplished calligrapher, particularly renowned for his mastery of large-scale characters (boke dazi), and was also skilled in traditional Chinese painting. Active around the Daoguang period (1821–1850), he traveled to Japan and engaged in artistic exchanges in calligraphy. He is regarded as one of the representative Qing calligraphers associated with the influence of the Chinese-style (“Karayō”) calligraphic tradition in Edo-period Japan.

      Cheng Yi with the courtesy name as Youhong, the art name as Yicang was born in Nanjing. Jinshi during the Shunzhi era.

    • Yao Han

      Yao Han was born in Suzhou in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties. Jinshi in the 18th year of Shunzhi (1661).
