Li Anzhong

Li Anzhong, Southern Song painter who was born in Qiantang (now Hangzhou, Zhejiang). His date of birth and death is unknown. During the Song Huizong Xuanhe era (1119-1125), he became the head of the painting school. His official was Seichuro. After he traveled to the south, he returned to the painting school in the Shaoxing era (1131-1162) and was awarded a gold belt. He specialized in flower-and-bird paintings and running beasts, and was good at Torurek (paintings of predatory hawks and falcons). He was also good at landscape painting.
