He Wuhu

  • He Wuhu (1581-1651) with the courtesy names as Ryuyu and Mizuko, the artnames as Zooka and Kantoku Dojin and people call him Kakuro. He was born in Koyama (now Nakayama). He passed the imperial examination in 1606 (34th year of the Ming Dynasty) and became a Shokichishi in 1619. In the first year of Chongzhen (1628), he was promoted to Zhao Chunbo Jitsugakushokan, and later to Shojunji and Attendant Scholar. In 1632, he was appointed as Reibu Ujiro, and the following year he was promoted to Reibu Shosho, becoming a university graduate and Acting Prime Minister. His representative works include "Genkijo Shishu" Volume 3, "Genkido Bunshu" Volume 30, "Unpinxen Manuscript" Volume 2, "Kyoto Nikko Shogeishu" Volume 4, "Shueki Supplement" Volume 4, There are "Chūrokukakushu" and four types of stone-carved Kaisho. His poetry was highly praised by the people of his time. He was also good at calligraphy, adopting the techniques of Zhongxing, Wang Xizhi, and Su Shi, and is well versed in calligraphy.
