Wu Zi

  • Wu Zi is a seal engraver and calligrapher of the Qing dynasty. with the courtesy name as Shenyu and Enyu, and the artname as Tianyuan. He was born in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province. He exceled in seal script and clerical script. He was also good at painting flowers, fish, and birds, and draws by adopting the style of Susumu Hei. He studied the inscriptions of the Qin, Han, Song and Yuan dynasties and adopted their techniques for seal engraving.
