Song Jue

Song Wei (1576-1632) was born in Putian, Fujian Province with the courtesy name as Bhiyu and the artnames as Lizhizi, Rudojin, and Guozisen. He was a Ming Dynasty poet, calligrapher and Guozi Supervisor. He traveled to Wuyue and dies on the way. He specialized in calligraphy, painting, and seal engraving. He learned landscape painting from Mi Fu, Huang Gongwang and Wu Zhen. He was good at painting pine trees.
