Xiyuantemple Gongwang

  • Kinmochi Saionji (December 7, 1849 – November 24, 1940), Japan's Meiji, Taisho, and Showa era veterans, statesmen, grandson of Taikatsukasa Masamichi, second son of Imperial Household Minister Kimizumi Tokudaiji, Chamberlain Chotokudaiji Minoru's younger brother. He is Hirobumi Ito's top disciple. He is the 12th and 14th head of Japan (Prime Minister). In the early 20th century, he alternated power with Taro Katsura, a disciple of Aritomo Yamagata. This period is called the Keien period. All Taisho prime ministers were recommended by him. He is the last senator of the Empire of Japan and the last guardian of Japanese democracy.
