Li Zhanru

  • Li Zhanru is a calligrapher of the 1930s and 40s with an assumed name as Guo who is domiciled to Heshan, Guangdong Province. His poems, plaques and calligraphy are in Kuala Lumpur's mausoleums, halls and collections. He is one of the pioneers of calligraphy in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, and a literati calligrapher as well. He was well versed in poetry, often participating in gatherings such as Nanyo Shogasha (established in 1929), and left many wonderful works.
