Liu Ji

Liu Ji, courtesy name is Bowen, born in Qingtian County, Zhejiang Province. His ancestral home was in Baoquan, Shanxi Province. The descendant of Liu Guangshi, a general of the Southern Song Dynasty who resisted the Jin Dynasty. At the end of the Yuan Dynasty and the beginning of the Ming Dynasty, he was a military strategist, a statesman, a writer and a poet. He assisted Ming Taizu Zhu Yuanzhang to complete the emperor's business, create the Ming Dynasty and maintain national stability, so he was famous all over the world and was compared by later generations as Zhuge Wuhou. Zhu Yuanzhang repeatedly called Liu Ji: "He is my counselor." When Zhengde was posthumous, he was given the posthumous title of the master, Wencheng.
