Zhou Baisheng

• Zhou Baisheng, born in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province. Lived in Shanghai. Good at watercolor antique figure painting, watercolor brushstroke moon tile painting. Become famous for painting for advertisement poster. Used to paint for black and white advertisement poster for "Times". Started work at Nanyang Tobacco Association Publicity Department in 1917 and painted for the company and Hua Mei Tobacco Company Watercolor Scribble Monthly Card. After that, switched to focus on making Monthly Advertisement posters. Dafengchang printing paper ≪Men farming and women weaving≫ got to be his representative work. Found Bai Shengzheng School of Painting in July 1927. In addition to general painting education, a special course was established for the painting of moon tiles, and training of painters of moon tiles was carried out.
