Wu Li

  • Wu Li (吳歷), styled Yushan (漁山) and also known by his artistic names Taoxi Jushi (桃溪居士) and Mojing Daoren (墨井道人), was a native of Changshu, Jiangsu Province. He was a painter during the Qing Dynasty, renowned for his mastery of landscape painting. Initially, he followed the artistic traditions of Huang Gongwang and Wang Meng. Wu Li, along with Yun Shouping, Wang Shimin, and others, is celebrated as one of the "Six Masters of the Early Qing" or referred to collectively as the "Four Wangs, Wu, and Yun."
