Wu Quan

Wu Quan, a native of Changzhou during the Qing dynasty, moved to Shanghai with his father and later relocated to Suzhou in his old age. His courtesy name was Rongzhai, and his hao (pen name) was Huangchuan. During the Yongzheng era, he served as the Governor of Ji'an. After returning to his land, he settled in Huangchuan, where he built Suichu Garden, focusing on proofreading books and collecting them. He accumulated many thousands of volumes, with numerous fine editions from the Song and Yuan dynasties.
