Qi Mu

  • Qi Mu (1877-1938), courtesy name Heqing, with another style name Fanniu, and pen name Niuweng, was from Yuyao, Zhejiang. In his youth, he enjoyed composing poetry and was one of the early members of the Nanshe (Southern Society). Starting in 1908, he worked as an editor and teacher in various newspapers. Qi Mu was known for his literary works, particularly small pieces, and was renowned for his witty and humorous style.
