    Le Jianwen, from Huangpi, Hubei, is a skilled Chinese painter. In 1993, he was awarded the State Council's Special Government Allowance. He graduated from the Chinese Painting Department of the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in 1961 and stayed on to teach there. He has also served as the head of the Chinese Painting Department at Hubei Academy of Fine Arts. Le is a director of the Hubei Artists Association and a member of the China Artists Association.
