Murakami Sandao

• Santou Murakami was born in Kamiura, Ochi, Ehime. Grew up in Omishima then moved to Mishima, Osaka. His nick name “Mishima” is derived from Omishima and Mishima. He started calligraphy when he was 15-year-old. He put his effort into China-Japan calligraphy exchange and visited China a lot of times. He became a Special Consultant and Special Researcher of Shanghai Art Museum in 1993. He worked hard on studying Cursive Continuum, he established warm and unique style by using seal script, official script, regular script, running script, cursive script.
