Chen Ziyi

• Chen Ziyi, born in Xinhui, Hongdong. Studied Chinese painting at Guanzhou city municipal art school and flower-and-bird painting at Lingnan Arts in 1936. Good at painting landscape and flower-and-bird. Taught at Hong Kong Huaqiao Middle School, Hongxi Wuzhou Girls' Normal School and then, become a teacher at Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, Guangzhou Academy of Literature and History, Guangdong Cantonese Opera School. The current deputy director of Guangzhou Museum of Culture and History. Member of China Artists Association, Vice Chairman of Guangzhou Artists Association, City Federation of Literary and Art Circles, CPPCC Standing Committee, Deputy director of the Poetry, Calligraphy and Painting Room of the CPPCC. His works are named "The Misty Rain in the Mountains and Streams", "The Cotton Tree Magpie", "Spring Dawn on the Flower Bridge". Held exhibitions in Hong Kong, Guilin, Liuzhou, Wuzhou in 40s, Hongkong, the United States, Singapore, Canada and Guangzhou in 80s. He has published "Zi Yi's Painting Collection", "Chen Ziyi's Painting Collection", "Zi Yi's Painting Selection".
