    Wu Peixian, female, originally named Wu Yan, with the courtesy name Bilin Nushi, was from Wujin, Changzhou, Jiangsu. She was a renowned painter in the Republic of China, graduated from Suzhou Art School, and was skilled in landscape painting. Wu Peixian, Fang Shitian, and Xu Yuan were collectively known as the "Three Women of the Fang School."
