Mi Fu

  • Mi Fu (1051–1107) was a renowned calligrapher and painter from the Northern Song Dynasty. His original name was Fu, and his courtesy name was Yuanzhang. He was from Taiyuan, Shanxi Province. He also used the pseudonyms Xiangyang Manshi, Haiyue Waishi, and Lumen Jushi. Mi Fu was a famous calligrapher, art theorist, painter, art connoisseur, and collector, highly regarded for his contributions to Chinese art.

      Liu Yong, courtesy name was Chong Ru, art name was Shi An, born in Zhucheng Shandong, a calligrapher of the Qing Dynasty. He was good at writing regular script and semi-cursive script.

      Zhu Da (1626-1705?), courtesy name was Ren An, art name was Bada Shanren, Xue Ge and Ge Shan, a descendant of the Ming Dynasty Emperor Zhu Quan. He was good at painting natural scerery such as landscape, bird-and-flower and bamboo.
