  • Wu Qingxia

    Wu Qingxia, whose given name was Wu Deshu, was also known by the pseudonym Longcheng Nushi and the alternate name Zhuanxiang Ge Master. She was from Changzhou, Jiangsu, and the daughter of the renowned Jiangnan collector and connoisseur, Wu Zhongxi. In 1934, she co-founded the China Women's Calligraphy and Painting Association with Li Qiujun, Zhou Lianxia, and Lu Xiaoman. In 1956, she was appointed as a painter at the Shanghai Chinese Painting Academy.
