Ren Lansheng

  • Ren Lansheng, the owner of Tuisiyuan, served as the Acting Inspector-General in the 8th year of the Guangxu reign. During his tenure, he promoted "water conservation" and "river and pond dredging." He also replicated the Jiangnan waterwheel to teach people how to lift water for irrigation. Additionally, he raised over 100,000 taels in donations to aid hundreds of thousands of disaster-stricken people from Henan who had fled to Anhui. His efforts earned widespread praise and were highly regarded.
