Zhao Shaoang

• Zhao Shao'ang (趙少昂), originally named Yuan (垣), courtesy name Shu'yi (叔儀), was born in Panyu, Guangdong. He is regarded as one of the "Four Masters of the Second Generation Lingnan School" alongside Li Xiongcai (黎雄才), Guan Shanyue (關山月), and Yang Shanshen (楊善深). Zhao was renowned for his mastery in various subjects, including painting flowers, birds, insects, fish, figures, animals, and landscapes. He gained international fame for his flower-and-bird paintings in particular.
